Phil Mickelson was literally on the rocks Saturday, after he lost his footing on the 18th hole at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Feb. 10, 2013.
42-year-old Mickelson was edging his way down the embankment looking for his ball when he lost his footing and slipped, landing on his backside. The video of the slip is being called more humorous than Bill Murray’s character in “Caddyshack”, allowing for moment to chuckle at the former champion as he struggles to stay in the Pebble Beach tournament this year.
Mickelson won the Pebble Beach four times, including last year’s matchup where he picked up another $1,152,000 in winnings.
Unfortunately for Mickelson, it looks like he has lost his edge in this year’s game, taking a triple bogey on the 18th hole and shooting 1-over par in the third round.
Mickelson is going into the 3rd round 1 stroke under par, and tied for 56th place on the leaderboard.
Just 5 weeks into the 2013 PGA season, Mickelson has won a total of $1,152,525.
Mickelson's untimely slip will sure to be part of this weeks sports bloopers, possibly even making this year's top 10.
What do you think, is Mickelson's slip worthy of this weeks blooper reel?
