Golf tournament raises $17,000 for local parks and recreation

The Metro District hosted its annual golf tournament Sept. 23 at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club. The tournament raised $17,000 that will go to the Highlands Ranch Park & Recreation Foundation in support of local parks and recreation programs.

The Highlands Ranch Metro District hosted its annual golf tournament Monday, Sept. 23 at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club. Thanks to the support of many participants and sponsoring businesses, the tournament raised $17,000! The tournament is presented in partnership by the Metro District, Highlands Ranch Park & Recreation Foundation and Centennial Water & Sanitation District.

The proceeds go to the foundation and benefit parks and recreation activities in Highlands Ranch. This year’s proceeds will go to a youth sports scholarship fund, future pickleball courts, and park improvements.

Seventeen organizations sponsored the event and 141 golfers participated to support the local community. Sponsors included:
