Golf season in CT???

Perhaps Punxsutawney Phil was not pulling northern golfers' legs when he predicted an early spring exactly one month ago. I just noticed at http://ctgolfer.com/'s "Opening Day Message Board" that Shennecossett Golf Club, which I mentioned here, is open for play as of today, March 2. Shennecossett is located in Groton, CT, and is the best-value public course in the state and one of the best in the country, as far as this golf addict is concerned. It is not often that one can play a (mostly) Donald Ross course for under $50 (before cart). For those who are itching to loosen the joints from a terribly snowy winter, I suggest you high-tail it to Shennecossett as soon as you can.

Cheers.
