The following is a list of the prize money up for grabs for professional women golfers at the 2014 Kia Classic, which is being played from Thursday, March 27, 2014, to Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, California.

This is the fifth year the Kia Classic is being played, and the second time the tournament will be played at the Aviara Golf Club, which is owned by Hyatt. In 2010, the Kia Classic debuted at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

The tournament then moved north to the Industry Hills Golf Club near Los Angeles in 2011, before returning to La Costa Resort and Spa in 2012. In 2013, the tournament moved to the Aviara Golf Club, which is located in the hills north of San Diego in Carlsbad, California.

The four previous winners of the Kia Classic are Hee Kyung Seo (2010) from South Korea, Sandra Gal (2011) from Germany, Yani Tseng (2012) from Taiwan, and last year's winner Beatriz Recari from Spain.

All four previous winners of the Kia Classic are playing in the tournament this year at Aviara. Sandra Gal and Beatriz Recari are even paired together, along with Cristie Kerr, for the first two rounds.

Golf prize money up for grabs for women players at 2014 Kia Classic at Aviara

The total prize money up for grabs for the profeesional women golfers at the 2014 Kia Classic is $1.7 million. That is the same amount of prize money the Kia Classic had in 2013, and has had since it began in 2010.

  • Winner - $255,000

The winner of the 2014 Kia Classic will earn a cool $255,000. That is the same amount of money Beatriz Recari earned here last year with her thrilling sudden death win.

It's also the same amount Sandra Gal and all the other winners of the Kia Classic earned with their wins here.

  • Second Place - $156,616

The second place finisher in the 2014 Kia Classic will earn $156,616. The same amount I.K. Kim earned last year when she lost in sudden death to Beatriz Recari.

  • Third Place - $113,075

Cristie Kerr, Mo Martin, and Pornanong Phatlum split $272,444, with each player earning $90,748, when they tied for third place at the 2013 Kia Classic.

  • Fourth Place - $90,000 (estimate)
  • Fifth Place - 69,000 (estimate)
