The following is a list of the prize money up for grabs for professional golfers at the 2014 Wyndham Championship, which is taking place from August 14-17, 2014, at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Wyndham Championship was first played in 1938. The tournament has always been played in Greensboro, North Carolina, but not always played at the Sedgefield Country Club. Starmount Forest Country Club and Forest Oaks Country Club have also hosted the tournament.

The great Sam Snead absolutely owned the Wyndham Championship having won the tournament a record eight times (1938, 1946, 1949, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1960, and 1965). Eight other players are tied with two wins each for the second most wins in the Wyndham Championship including golfers like Byron Nelson, Billy Casper, Sandy Lyle, Rocco Mediate, and Davis Love III.

None of golf's big three, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Rory McIlroy have ever won this tournament, and I don't think any of three have ever played here much if at all. Sergio Garcia won the Wyndham Championship in 2012. Sergio has yet to win a major, but he has dated some incredibly hot women.

The total prize money at the 2014 Wyndham Championship is $5.3 million. That is the same total prize money as last year.

The prize money for the winner is set in stone, while the other prize money shown is based upon past payouts and the amounts listed could be off very slightly based upon ties and how many players actually make the cut.
