The following is a list of the prize money up for grabs for golfers at the 2014 U.S. Women's Open, which is being played from Thursday, June 19th to Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the Pinehurst Resort located in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The 2014 U.S. Open for men golfers was just completed this past weekend, which saw Germany's Martin Kaymer run away with the major winning by eight strokes. This week, it's the women's turn to play the U.S. Open at Pinhurst in 2014.

The 2014 U.S. Women's Open has a total purse of $3.25 million. That is the same prize money the U.S. Women's Open had last year, and the same prize money since 2008. The total prize money is also just 36% of the $9 million prize money that was won by the men at the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst.

The U.S. Women's Open has been played annually since 1946. Betsy Rawls (1951, 1953, 1957, 1960) and Mickey Wright (1958, 1959, 1961, 1964) are tied for the most wins with four each. Annika Sorenstam, Hollis Stacy, Susie Berning, and the great Babe Zaharias all won the U.S. Women's Open three times.

Last year's winner, Inbee Park, has won the Open twice, as have players like Juli Inkster, Karie Webb and Meg Mallon. The U.S. Women's Open is a major in women's golf, and every women golfer would love to win this tournament at least once in their career.
