The following is a list of the prize money up for grabs for PGA golfers at the 2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational, which is being played from May 22nd to May 25th, 2014, at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is a PGA Tour event that has been played annually since 1946 (except for 1949 and 1975). The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is one of five PGA events annually that is by invitation only.

That means the player field at the Crowne Plaza Invitational only has a field size of roughly 125 (most PGA events have 156 players). The top 80 players on the money list from last year are guaranteed invites to the tournament, and the rest of the players are invited. There are no open qualifying rounds for this tournament.

Ben Hogan holds the record for the most wins in the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial with five (1946, 1947, 1952, 1953, 1959). Ten players are tied for second with two wins each. That list includes notables like Zach Johnson (2010, 2012), Phil Mickeslon (2000, 2008), Ben Crenshaw (1977, 1990), Lee Trevino (1976, 1978), and Billy Casper (1964, 1968).

Tiger Woods has never won this tournament, and he obviously will not win this year as he continues to recover from back surgery. Rory McIlroy has yet to win here either, and he won't this week as he is not here.

The total prize money up for grabs this week at the 2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is $6.4 million. The same total prize money as last year.

  • Third Place - $435,200

Fifth place is worth roughly $260,000 at the 2014 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
