The Canadian Pacific Women's Open has been played annually since 1973. Pat Bradley and Meg Mallon hold the record for most wins at the Canadian Pacific Women's Open with three each.

Young Lydia Ko is tied with JoAnne Carner and Brandie Burton for the second most wins with two each. Lydia Ko was an amateur the first two times she won here (2012, 2013).

LPGA stars who have won here include Michelle Wie, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, and Brittany Lincicome. LPGA stars trying to win here this week for the first time include Stacy Lewis, Belen Mozo, Beatriz Recari, Sandra Gal, Lexi Thompson, and Paula Creamer (click any of those names for hot photos of that woman golfer).

Other LPGA players here this week include young players trying to make names for themselves like Brooke Pancake and Charley Hull.

The total purse money for the 2014 Canadian Pacific Women's Open is $2.25 million. That is a nice increase of 12.5% over the $2 million prize money purse from last year, and represents one of the larger purses on the LPGA Tour this year.

The prize money shown for the winner is set in stone. The other prize money is based upon past payouts and could be off slightly based upon things like ties and how many players actually make the cut.
