Golf getaways to the Oregon Coast are a great way to spend time with family and friends, there are nine hole gems that dot the Oregon Coast from Astoria to Gold Beach.
There are many reasons to play the nine hole courses on the Coast, they include:
• Relaxed golf at reduced rates
• Casual golfers and inexperienced golfers can get out and enjoy the game, without feeling intimidated. Keeping in mind, you still need to adhere to the etiquette of the game and be mindful of fellow golfers on the course.
• Practice on the course in a laid back environment
• The perfect place to get out on a course that is fun & challenging with younger children who are trying to learn the game
• Have memorable family outings, that aren’t dominated by 5 hour rounds of golf.
In all the Oregon Golf Association lists 12 nine hole golf courses from Astoria to Gold Beach. My favorite is the Manzanita Golf Course.
The setting is magnificent, with one of Oregon’s best beach towns and beach just minutes away, a quaint welcoming club house and a totally relaxing atmosphere that greets you from the moment you step on the grounds.

Golf tip of the Day: Practice smart. Putting is at least 30% of your game; spend more time on the putting green and less on the range.
