Golf for a cure

Summer is always a welcomed change in Chicago. After the frigid cold of the Chicago winters, the warm weather indicates the time to get outdoors and get some fresh air. So start making plans, and don’t forget to include the Play for the Cure golf outing on your Summer to-do list.

The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation will be hosting this 21st annual golf outing to raise money for breast cancer research. Beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18 at Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, golfers will enjoy lunch, an 18-hole outing with tee-off at 1 p.m. and a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception.

The outing is $900 per person with sponsorships available from $2,500 to $20,000. Golfers of all skill levels are welcomed to participate in this event.

The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation supports the advances that contribute to the understanding and research of breast cancer and works with Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
