It appears that Goldust's recent lobbying for a match against his real life brother Cody Rhodes has gotten the attention of WWE officials. According to a Wednesday November 30th report by The Wrestling Observer, WWE officials are open to the idea of these brothers wrestling each other. However, the match would take place before WrestleMania 28 as WWE has different plans most likely for Cody at PPV.
Goldust and Cody are sons of the legendary Dusty Rhodes. Although Goldust hasn't been on TV much over the last few years, he's been working in a non-wrestling capacity with the company. A match between the two could be sooner than later as the WWE is currently working toward a match between Booker T and Cody.
Goldust could be given an opportunity to take on his brother through the feud between Cody and Booker due to his history with both Cody and Booker. Booker T and Goldust were former tag-team champions as an "odd couple" tag-team.
This match would make for an interesting feud and could even incorporate Dusty Rhodes into it. I see a quasi-Hart family storyline here that could be successful with today's WWE product.
