The two hour event was dedicated to player photo shoots and the recording of promotional pieces for both the team and media outlets.
Simultaneously taking place was Tweedia Day, the social media branch of Media Day in which popular social networks are used to connect Warriors fans with the team they passionately support. Each of the players spent part of the afternoon interacting with "Dub Nation" during today's session - only first-round pick Nemanja Nedovic was not present out of the 18 players on the training camp roster.
The teams' big off-season acquisition Andre Iguodala recalled that My Space was the first social network he used and as for the phenomenon as a whole he said "I like it when it's used the right way."
Veteran center Jermaine O'Neal, another key free agent signing, expressed that he's been received well by the Warriors fans from day one. "This fan base is one of the best fan bases around," O'Neal said "I'm not just saying that because I'm here."
A few new faces were also around. Last year's second-round pick center Ognjen Kuzmic made his first appearance in a Warriors uniform after being signed earlier in the day. "I'm excited to be here," Kuzmic said.
Meanwhile, David Lee assured everyone that he's fully recovered from a torn hip flexor suffered in last seasons playoffs. "Physically I'm in the best shape I've been in since probably freshman year of college," Lee said "I'm ready to get going."
Regarding his own off-season conditioning, Stephen Curry said "I was working on my game over the summer trying to add things. Continue trying to play at a high level, the mission never really stops."
His younger brother Seth Curry told the media he was disappointed not being drafted in June, but that playing point guard full-time is his goal.
General manager Bob Meyers, team consultant Jerry West, head coach Mark Jackson and his staff were all in attendance seemingly satisfied with the off-season and ready for 2013-2014 campaign.
Training camp begins tomorrow morning and the Warriors first preseason game is on Oct. 5 against the Lakers in Ontario, Calif.
