UPDATE: This beautiful dog is safe. Thank you everyone who spread the news, forwarded her story or donated to her safety. Sharing saves lives.

If this beautiful golden retriever isn't lucky enough to find a foster home by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, her life will be over. The two-year-old waits forlornly in kennel A34 wondering why she is alone, and most likely she is still waiting for her family. No one has come to Texas Animal Control in Odessa to claim her.

Fortunately, because of her stunning looks, this dog is getting noticed; Big Dog Rescue Project in Dallas has offered to help, if a suitable foster home can keep her for a few weeks.

Please refer to her Facebook thread by clicking here where humane advocates and volunteers are trying their best to share her desperate story.

Speaking Up for those Who Can't Facebook page serves as a venue for volunteers to help the cats and dogs at Odessa Animal Control in danger of being euthanized. The group promotes responsible care, spay and neuter programs and adoptions. Please read the following:

"The animals on our page are located at Odessa, Texas Animal Control. Please call 432-368-3527. You must have a valid drivers license and utility bill with matching address to adopt. They now take credit cards, cash or check. We ARE NOT the pound. We are volunteers who network these animals to try and find them homes. You may send your questions to our Speaking Up inbox and we will do our best to get an answer for you as quickly as possible."
