The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards took place live from The Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday, January 12th. The show was hosted once again by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Presenters included actors and musicians Kevin Bacon, Robert Downey Jr, Usher, Johnny Depp, and Sean Combs to name a few.

Music nominees included U2, Taylor Swift, Chris Martin, Hans Zimmer, Alex Ebert to name a few. Actress Hayden Panettiere was nominated for her role as a singer on the TV show "Nashville". Oscar Issac was nominated for his role for "Inside Llewyn Davis." Michael Douglas won for his performance as Liberace in the TV movie "Behind the Candelabra". Jared Leto who also is a musician with his band Thirty Seconds To Mars, won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie "Dallas Buyers Club"

U2 won the award for Best Original Song In A Motion Picture for the movie "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom". The band wrote the song "Ordinary Love" for the movie.

Alex Ebert won the award for Best Original for the movie "All Is Lost".
