The real entertainment of the 2013 Golden Globes was all the action surrounding the show. Read some highlights below:
First up, we have Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey and co-host Amy Poehler bringing some tasty jokes to kick off the show. In the first five minutes of the show, they said when left untreated, the HFPA can lead to cervical cancer as well as kidding around about the SNL reunion at the Globes.
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger made fun of each other's unique speech while introducing the award for Best Foreign Language Film. The winning film happened to be from Austria ("Amour"), Schwarzenegger's home land. More jokes can be found here.
According to MTV.com, "the "Django Unchained" writer-director won the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay on Sunday evening, but attention quickly turned to the film's controversial use of the N-word when Tarantino spoke with press after winning his award. According to both The Hollywood Reporter and E! Online, Tarantino engaged the conversation by using the N-word, to the silence and awkward whistling of onlookers."
Then there was the lovely Jodie Foster who officially came out as being a lesbian while accepting her Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. Foster mentioned her former female partner and explained she "came out a million years ago" in private, but saved the big reveal for an even bigger day. Then went on to hint at retirement from acting, but maybe a move into directing. Bravo to her, she is an amazing woman overall. Check out US Magazine for more on Foster's speech.
And last but not least, the adorable British Adele saying she was "pissing" herself. How I love those Brits!
