If you'd be wanting to watch the Golden Globes Sunday evening (as this writer's Irish grandmother might have phrased it), what time and where should you tune in? TV Over 20 has the info for you.
The 70th Annual Golden Globes ceremony will take place Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Co-hosts for the televised event will be writers, comedic actors, and friends -- Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
According to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the telecast of the Golden Globes begins at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on NBC.
NOMINEES: Complete listing of 2013 Golden Globes nominees.
Performers presenting or attending the Globes include George Clooney, Robert Pattinson, Lea Michele, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Christian Bale, and many others.
A distinctive feature of the Golden Globes is that awards are given out both for film and television performances in 25 categories. Interestingly, this year's co-hosts are up against one another in the running for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series -- Comedy or Musical. Tina Fey is the star of 30 Rock; and Ms. Poehler leads up Parks and Recreation. Both programs air on NBC.
Coming so soon before the Oscars, many believe the nominees and winners of the Golden Globes give a good indication of which actors and which films may be in the lead for the Academy Awards.
