Tonight is the night of the 70th Golden Globes Awards which will be airing live from 8-11 p.m. EST on NBC and will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Will be interesting as both hosts nominated for best actress in a TV comedy or musical series, Fey for "30 Rock" and Poehler for "Parks and Recreation.”

Fifty year old, Jodie Foster, will receive the Globes' Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.

The Oscar nominations were announced earlier than the Golden Globes ceremony and many believe this may have taken away a bit of the Golden Globes hype – any consider this event pre-empt to the Oscar nominations.

Additionally, many critics believe that 3 key directors were snubbed by the Oscars -- Bigelow (1st female director to win an Oscar), "Zero Dark Thirty," Ben Affleck for “Argo,” and Tom Hooper for “Les Miserables,” did not receive best director nominations. Bigelow and Affleck are nominated for Golden Globes Best Director category.

There will be a total of 14 film and 11 TV awards. Below is a recap of nominees. This site will be updated regularly with the winners at the end of the event.
