This evening after getting my daughters bathed and ready for school tomorrow, we put on the Golden Globes to watch the celebrities all dressed up and make a big fuss on how they looked. Blankets came out, makeup, and hair bows to make our own fashion runway.
Funny how the television became the backround and two children have now stolen the show with their comical skit they were now performing. Anytime there is some imaginative play in the works it is encouraged, all do to those words you hear as a parent with a special needs child. Your child does not play right.
We have all heard that sentence at some point where the toy is not held correctly, the thinking outside the box is not there, or not showing any interest is just baffling. Let me tell you that if the tape could be rewound to any of these moments and the therapists could see the things that I see now that conversation would be a lot different.
Cherish the times your children give you for that creativeness when they are using their imagination and remember that is why they make DVD’s and DVR's you can record that show.
