The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards hasn't started yet and there is already a flurry of action on the red carpet. Nope, there aren't any celebrities yet, just the fire department and a puddle of water. According to Mario Lopez on Sunday, a sewer line broke at the Beverly Hilton Hotel leaving a gigantic puddle of water in the middle of the walk way.
“Huge water leak on #goldenglobes red carpet...Bev Hills fire trying to clean up,” tweeted Ryan Seacrest from his official Twitter account. He was one of the few stars who got to take a picture of the site before people were scurried away. The red carpet was torn up and the crew had water vacuums to pull the water off the ground. It’s not pretty by any means, but luckily not too many folks will be filming at the location.
The bad part about water is the gowns on the red carpet. Golden Globe fashion has everyone being critical of the flaws of the dresses on the red carpet and if the fabric touches the mini pond (which is getting smaller by the minute) it could ruin the gowns. That would cause chaos or so everyone is led to believe.
