Golden Globe Award: Film nominees for 2014

The Golden Globe Award is an accolade that is bestowed those who have gone above and beyond in their film and television careers. The award is given for excellence for both foreign and domestic achievements by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony, the seventy-first year will be telecasted on Sunday January 12 on NBC at 8 p.m. EST, according to a report on Dec. 12 by the NY Daily News and the Huffington Post. This year the hosts will be Amy Poehler and Tina Fey in Beverly Hills. The nominees were announced on Thursday morning.

The ceremony will be broadcasted worldwide covering 167 countries. All the movies for the year have been reflected upon and those voted on by the HFPA that were recognized were put into categories. The categories consist of film, television, comedy, musical and drama.
