A gold-plated Lamborghini will be speeding past envious drivers before long, though with the studded gold hot rod set at the high price of $7.5M, it won’t be an easy task for most people to get their hands on the wheel of one. Being called the most expensive car in the whole world, this supercar Lamborghini is the latest vehicle making vehicle fans around the globe have their eyes widen in all its golden glory, Yahoo! News reports this Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The gold-plated Lamborghini, true to its name, is encrusted with gems and gold, and it has a price tag to match its pricey veneer. The stunning car is said to be carved out of nothing less than a 500 kilogram chunk of solid gold, while the finished vehicle model holds a full 25 kilograms of the rare and valuable metal. The upcoming price at auction is expected to be $7.5M, so interested buyers better have their wallets out and at the ready.
Of those several millions, $650,000 of it is said to be going to charity as well, the gold-plated Lamborghini manufacturer’s official website states.
Even without the studded hot rod's interior, the gemstones and golden linings featured across the hot rod are said to be valued at well over $2 million alone. Known as the custom model Lamborghini Aventador, an LP-700-4, the gold-plated Lamborghini is crafted at a set scale of 1:8, and is expected to make its first appearance outside of Germany soon.
This eye-catching gold-plated Lamborghini is being hailed as the most expensive car in the world (and for good reason at $7.5M). Not only the surface is shiny and new, either, as under the hood, the vehicle offers a V-12 engine that reaches up to 700 horsepower, taking riders from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in under three seconds.
The valuable model, interestingly enough, however, hasn’t officially been made yet, in order to allow for specific features and customizations that buyers ask for. The one car fans have seen so far is only a prototype of this golden Lamborghini.
“While not always made for the road, the gold-plated and gem-encrusted car does come with three entries in the Guinness Book of World Records to its name, including the most expensive model car, the most secure showcase (one that contains bulletproof glass) and the most luxurious logo.”
