Going undercover with Sisters in Crime

Mystery writers! Is the protagonist of your next novel going to conduct a sting operation or perhaps take on an infamous antiquities smuggling ring? Then you definitely want to attend the next meeting of the Harriet Vane Chapter of Sisters in Crime on Monday, March 18th. This month's topic is Undercover Police Investigation.

Featured speakers are Ed May, former commander of the Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct, and Sergeant Scott Ryon. Sgt Ryon has more than 30 years of experience as an Oregon detective and peace officer. Together, they will discuss the challenges of working undercover.

Meetings of the Portland Chapter of Sisters in Crime are held monthly at the Szechuan Chef Restaurant. Formerly Shanghai Noble House, the Szechuan Chef is located at 5331 SW Macadam Avenue, John's Landing, Portland, OR. There's a no host dinner at 6 pm with speakers appearing at 7 pm.
