Going down: American economy

Seniors beware, this is happening to you and your Social Security.

American workers can’t win in a game that is meant for them to lose. Capitalism is bankrupt and failing to serve the American workers. I am spending much time these day developing a model for sustainable economics. Unless citizens get off their duff and revolt against the incumbent representatives, their pain will get worse and last an unforeseeable long time.

President Obama knows that Americans are short changed. When you work 40 hours a week and can’t survive on that effort, then the system is failing, and it is.

Capitalists who are hoarding the wealth are stingier than ever. The fight isn’t about $9 an hour, it is about economic parity for people who work hard.

American government is addressing pieces of the problem, swatting at symptoms, while failing to grasp the totality of the matter.

America has seen the “trail of tears” before, and now they can get in line.

“Proposed Minimum Wage Increase Would Still Leave US Workers Trailing Counterparts

The lowest-paid U.S. workers would continue to lag behind their counterparts in many industrial countries if President Barack Obama’s proposal to boost the minimum wage to $9 an hour is passed.

Data from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) show nine nations where the minimum wage is more than $9 per hour, according to CNNMoney.
Australia has the world’s highest minimum wage, at $16.91 an hour. Several European nations also pay far above the minimum in the United States.

“There are some developed economies with lower minimum wages than the United States, but not many,” CNNMoney stated.
