Gog.com lets you save up to 80% off of 10 'Dungeons and Dragons' games

As they informed us via email and on their website mere hours ago, Gog.com is throwing another weekend sale. This time, it's called the "Dungeons and Dragons Dynamo", and the discount you will receive is based on the number of "Dungeons and Dragons" games you will buy, or, if you already own some of the games on sale, they will still count towards your discount. What kind of discount are we talking about? A single game will save you 40%, 2 will save you 45%, 3 will save you 51%, and so on all the way up to all 10 games saving you 80%, dropping the games to a mere total of $21.10, and saving you a whopping $84.80.

You may be wondering why you would care. Many of the game in the bundle have received quite a lot of praise from both critics and players. "Baldur's Gate", for example, has a Metacritic score of 91%, with the Gamerevolution reviewer known as Johnny_B stating that the game, "is a RPG which manages to get right everything about the tried and extremely true AD&D revision 2 gaming system. This is, without a doubt, the closest thing out there to actually getting together with a bunch of your friends on a Sunday afternoon", The game follows the story of you and your friend Imoen, two orphans who were raised together under your guardian, a wizard named Gorion. Gorion leads you away from Candlekeep, knowing that dark forces are plotting to take your life, however the two of you are ambushed on your way to a secret hiding place. Your guardian refuses to hand you over, and, in the end, manages to defeat the bandits that ambush you, but at a terrible cost, as he loses his life upon doing so. Soon your old friend Imoen, who had followed you in secret, shows up, having followed you after reading the note left on Gorion's desk. She insists that you allow her to join you, and your first choice in the game comes into play. Will you leave her behind? Or will you allow her to join you as your first companion? Regardless of your choice, will you be consumed with the desire to take revenge on those who plotted to take your life, or will you become a champion of justice?

The complete edition of "Neverwinter Nights 2" joins the sale, marking the first time that it has been discounted at Gog.com. Another semi-popular RPG, this game received a Metacritic score of 82, with Charles Onyett detailing the flaws of the games, but, in the end, citing that, "The ability to play through the official campaign with others online in addition to the toolset that can be used to create and play your own adventures gives 'Neverwinter Nights 2' a bottomless replay value." The game follows you, an orphan who was raised by the elven ranger known as Daeghun. After a festival, your town is attacked by a group of creatures known as githyanki, who are searching for an unnamed object. Afterwards, you are sent to retreive a silver shard from a cave, and your true adventure begins, for the shard was left there after the being known as the King of Shadows was defeated.

The other eight games to join the lineup are "Baldur's Gate II", the original "Icewind Dale" along with its sequel, "Icewind Dale II", "Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone", "The Temple of Elemental Evil", "Dungeons and Dragons: Dragonshard", "Neverwinter Nights", and finally, "Planescape Torment".
