'Godzilla' monstrous full-length trailer debut

“Can you kill it?” asks Aaron Taylor Johnson in the new full-length trailer for the upcoming reboot of Godzilla.

Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures

The trailer debuted online Tuesday, February 25 and it does not disappoint since the December teaser.

In the new trailer, a voice-over of a concerned and nervous Bryan Cranston sets up the tone and dramatics of what to expect from the gigantic radioactive monster.

“It was not an earthquake, it wasn't a typhoon. Because what’s really happening is that you’re hiding something out there and it’s going to send us back to the Stone Age,” says Cranston.

What follows is a series of teases of the destruction the eerie lizard makes around the city.

The reboot is based on the epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Godzilla is helmed by director Gareth Edwards, and also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, and Sally Hawkins.
