Godsend from 'Journey Into Nyx'

Godsend is one of the newest "Journey Into Nyx" spoiler cards. This white mythic rare equipment from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set packs a powerful punch that can have a detrimental effect on your opponent.

Godsend - 1WW
Legendary Artifact - Equipment (Mythic Rare)
Equipped creature gets +3/+3.
Whenever equipped creature blocks or becomes blocked by one or more creatures, you may exile one of those creatures.
Opponents can't cast cards with the same name as cards exiled with Godsend.
Equip 3

Godsend transforms one of your creatures into an impressive threat. Not only does Godsend boost the power and toughness of the creature you attach it to by three, it guarantees that your rival's blocker or attacker won't survive combat. Because Godsend exiles, it'll deal with indestructible threats like the gods Kruphix, Erebos, Thassa, Nylea, Purphoros, Heliod, Karametra, Xenagos, Mogis, Ephara, and all the rest. One thing to note is that because the ability is "may" it doesn't target. That means you can take care of creatures with hexproof, shroud, or protection from white.

What makes Godsend even more interesting is that once it has exiled a rival's creature they can't cast another copy they may have in their deck. It's even better in multiplayer games like Commander because it affects multiple players.

We suspect a full cycle of "swords" like Godsend, one for each color, as we saw with original sword cycle Sword of Light and Shadow and friends.

How will you use Godsend?
