Gods Willing is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Sept. 2, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set in an article on DailyMTG.com. Gods Willing is a white common combat trick that can play a pivotal role in your duel.
Gods Willing - W
Target creature you control gains protection from the color of your choice until end of turn. Scry 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put that card on the bottom of your library.)
Honor the gods of Theros, and they will return the favor.
Gods Willing can prevent one of your creatures from dying in combat by preventing all damage done to it. If your opponent's blockers are all the same color, you'll be able to sneak by their defenses unblocked. Gods Willing can also help your creature dodge a removal spell. Can you say versatile? All for just one white mana.
As we've mentioned before on several other cards with scry, Gods Willing will potentially be able to transform an otherwise dead draw into a business spell that could win you the game. It may only be scry of one, however sometimes all you need is to see just one card further into your deck.
Gods Willing may seem innocent, however it'll end up stealing a fair share of games in both limited and constructed.
How will you use Gods Willing?
