There has not been a Christian believer that has not heard the challenge regarding the Bible’s authenticity and accuracy by hearing the worn out “the Bible is full of errors and inaccuracies”. Interestingly when one asks to give one example, there is sputtering, throat clearing, and babbling about issues that have nothing to do with the subject that they brought up.
There is not another book that has prolific genealogy, detailed history, stunningly accurate prophesy, beautiful poetry, and a story regarding redemption that incorporates the Jewish faith and the Christian story of God’s salvation for the Gentiles.
Utterances in the Old Testament and New Testament have to do with the news unraveling in the Middle East. Ishmael is the father of the Arab nation and much of the conflict you see embroiling the Middle East comes from Genesis 16:12 in which a prophetic statement is made over Ishmael and his descendants. God declares:
And he will be a wild man, his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him: and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
The issue of land ownership for the Middle East was declared by God far back in Genesis, where God established the Abrahamic covenant that detailed how God would bless or curse. Anti-Semitic attitudes in the world would be great against Israel and there would be attempts to part the land from Israel’s control as stated by the prophet Joel.
Ezekiel 37-39 gives a scenario of why there is unrest in many Arab countries as the anti-Christ is beginning to consolidate his power and influence to bring the various Islamic factions together. A Islamic Mahdi according to Islam will arise and bring together a powerful Islamic coalition that will come against Israel.
According to Scriptures, this little horn will be born from a cross-section of the Greek and Roman empires, meaning he will come from a country that was part of both dynasties. The anti-Christ will be a charismatic speaker and will forge a treaty (hudna) with Israel promising a peace for 7-years. The anti-Christ will break the treaty with Israel three and a half years later by making war with Israel.http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/hudna-neither-a-truce-nor-cease-fire/
One merely needs to take inventory of the radical factions that have Jihad as their basis, Hezbollah, Hamas, Fatah, Muslim Brotherhood, Palestinian Authority, and factions of al-Qaida all have a vested interest in the destruction of Israel. Sovereign countries as Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, and Iran have demonstrated an ongoing hatred for Israel.
Land for peace has never worked in the history of human negotiations, and God’s declaration in Joel clearly will have nations accountable for “parting His land”.http://www.americaisraelprophecy.com/woetothem.html
Unfortunately what little credibility America may have had with Israel disappeared with Washington pressuring Israel to release over a hundred convicted terrorists that murdered Israeli citizens just to coax the Palestinians to the negotiating table. More importantly, America is going to be on precarious ground with God’s declaration to Abraham to “bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you”. Merely inspecting what America required of Israel just to get to the table will give one the idea of what other unbelievable concessions are expected from Israel.
Naturally there are those that scoff at the notion that God would judge any nation that came against Israel, however if one takes inventory of the nations that did cross Israel….one should be uncomfortable.
God declares much in His word and has yet to miss even once.
