15 Years ago in a small town in Kansas about
half way between Kansas City and Pittsburg;
16 year old Jenniffer Kerr did something that
would rock a Pennsylvania couple To the
heart of their being.
Jenniffer took a couple from Pennsylvania into
her home who had moved to Mound City; and
had ended up being homeless.
the Husband worked with Jenniffer in town;
but she really didn't know him or his wife that
well.
About a year later; Jenniffer discovered the Wife
unconscious in the couples living room.
Jenniffer called the Husband and then stayed
at the Wife’s side until the Husband arrived.
Jenniffer was scheduled for a Nurses Exam that
day that she could not make up; If she didn’t
attend her chance at furthering her career at that
time was over.
Jenniffer didn’t even think about it; She insisted on
going with the couple to the hospital.
She sat in the back of the car while the husband
drove; and kept the wife still until they got to the
hospital.
Over the following weeks Jenniffer never failed to
visit the Wife in the hospital; Never thinking about
or complaining that she missed her chance at nursing.
Tuesday May 17 2011 GOD remembered Jenniffer
and her acts of Christ like Service.
Jennifer passed her Final Exam at Ft. Scott Community
College and is now ready to go for her NCLEX
Licensure Examination.
this is an exam administered by National Council of
State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) to test the entry-level
nursing competence of candidates for licensure as
registered nurses and as licensed practical/vocational
nurses.
15 years ago Jenniffer was the teenager who everyone
in town viewed as trouble; She proved they were wrong.
Today GOD has given back to her what she willingly
risked so long ago; Today Jenniffer gets the chance
again to clime to the heights of a career that has defined
her life and who she is.
Jenniffer has always been the embodiment of brotherly
love and compassion and because of that; what was
willingly given up, has been lovingly returned.
On a Personal note: My wife and I were that
Pennsylvania couple.
We have never been so proud as we are today of
Jennifer Kerr Marrs.
CONGRATULATIONS JENNIFFER
