Earlier today Sony released details of a new Playstation 3 bundle, to be released concurrently with the upcoming God of War: Ascension. The bundle will include modern versions of every game in the God of War series, from HD remakes of the original PS2 and PSP games, to the modern current-gen titles, and will come bundled with an exclusive garnet colored PS3.
The new super-slim garnet model, revealed in Japan earlier this month, will come with 500gb of storage space, and bears a striking resemblance to the series' flagship Spartan. Sony Vice President of Platforms and marketing commented, "We're excited to introduce this stunning Garnet Red PS3 that pays homage to one of the best franchises ever launched on PlayStation platforms.
"We wanted to give our fans a complete collection of the series in this bundle so they can relive nostalgic memories of their first God of War adventure or experience the adventure for the first time if they are new to the series."
This complete series comes packaged with the upcoming prequel to the series, making this the most complete telling of Kartos' myth available since the series was first introduced in March 2005. Act fast though, as a limited number of these bundles will be produced.
The God of War: Ascension Legacy bundle will hit stores on March 12 priced at $349. The package includes: God of War, God of War II, God of War III, God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta, as well as the upcoming God of War: Ascension.
