Adults fighting like kids because of kids forms the basis of God of Carnage, which opens at Hanover on Friday.
God of Carnage will take place on Feb. 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen in the Parker Auditorium at Hanover College, located at 484 Ball Drive in Hanover, IN.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and over, and $5 for students high school age and under. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the box office at 812-866-7110. More information on the show can be found at the Hanover College theatre arts website. Keep in mind the show contains adult language and sexual situations.
God of Carnage starts out simply enough. Two kids are playing in a nearby park when one kid hurts the other. The parents of both kids meet to discuss the issue, and at first they are cordial with each other. As the evening continues, the discussion becomes, due to anger and alcohol, nothing more than bitter chaos where the parents start acting like kids.
God of Carnage is the creation of Yazmina Reza, and the production landed on Broadway for more than 400 shows in 2009-2010.
Following God of Carnage, Hanover College will present Troilus and Cressida. That production will take place in March.
