The Daily Word tells us this week that we have all we need, now - or that we will ever need in the future - because the Source of all our good is already within us. That might be a puzzling thought to those who have not studied Unity Principles. So, some explanation may be required.
If you believe in God - no matter what religion you were raised in or that you have developed within your own enlightened studies - you will agree that God is our Source. Unity teaches that God is present everywhere - God is in all the details. That doesn't mean that some old guy with a long white beard is messing around in your stuff - What it means is that everything that we see, touch, smell, know, think, feel or imagine already has an essence of God within its very being.
Even our smallest dreams and deepest secret wishes are seeded within our hearts and souls with the essence of God's loving energy wrapped around it and created with God's grace and concern. Your very dreams are already known by God - because God gave them to you. Your prayers for guidance, health, challenges of all kinds are already known by God. Nothing you ask for will be a surprise to God, or will be out of character for what God can grant you.
Suddenly, there is a freedom in knowing that God is everywhere present - that there is no place that God cannot be! You are not alone - you will never, ever be alone - no matter what it is you will be facing. Obstacles, challenges, accolades and blessings are a shared experience. This can give you an ever-present, exhilarating, all-encompassing awareness. You might feel much the same feeling as being filled to the top with Spirit's gifts -- when there is no room for any other emotion. You remember the song, "I am free, I am unlimited - there are no chains that bind me"?
Do you remember that same feeling when as a child you flew down a snowy slope on your sled? You didn't worry about steering, or slowing down - you simply allowed the emotion to carry you! My blessing to you this day is that you feel that child-like openness to see and know all your good is already, abundantly, within your reach.... The Bible tells us in John 8:32 "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free." The truth of who you are - is a sledding child of God!
May your thoughts be open
May your eyes see what you've found
May your ears distinguish heavenly blends
of God's harmonious sounds
May your mouth speak truthfully
May your heart seek - just to share
May your arms surround another as
God whisks away your fears
May you stand firm and faithful
May your breath be ever strong
May your steps throughout your journey
Be in tempo with God's song.
