“Therefore I remind you that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on of my hands.” – 2 Timothy 1:16
Approximately eighteen months ago, while I was walking through the anointed fields behind my house, The Lord showed me a vision. I love spending time with God in these fields, going for walks with the Father, conversing with Him, feeling the Almighty’s presence, and seeing the wonderful things that He shows me. I miss our walks together when it gets too cold like it is now.
As I am walking through the fields, I see a large pot filled with liquid gold. I see the Hand of God stirring this pot, and He is laughing a hearty laugh as He is stirring. God’s laughing made me start to laugh. Have you ever heard the Father laugh? It’s pretty incredible. And to think, that He breathed His laugh into us! God laughs when we have a healthy laugh! Our Father shares a good laugh with us, as we should with Him. So laugh more often, my brothers and sisters! Because when you do, you will start to feel God’s pleasure!
I said “God, what are you stirring? Why are you laughing?” And this is what the Lord spoke to my spirit: “I am stirring up, stirring up, stirring up, my Word in my people! I am stirring up the gifts and the talents that I have placed in my sons and daughters! I am stirring up in those who don’t even yet know Me, but will! Think it not strange what my children begin to experience within them! Think it not strange, my sons and daughters, when you feel your spirit leap inside of you like an unborn baby waiting to come out! There is so much wickedness from the people of this country. So many have turned their back on Me. This country has broken its covenant with Me, God Almighty. But oh, just wait and see how I move upon the hearts and souls of my creation! Watch in awe how I release my goodness upon this nation in awe-inspiring measure; because it is My goodness that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4). I do not delight in judgment; although, my judgment will come upon those who have had the opportunity to repent but instead chose to harden their hearts and not accept my outstretched hand of mercy. But oh, how I delight in repentance, because repentance brings about reconciliation, and reconciliation brings forth restoration, and out of restoration births reformation; which is the leading of a nation, a people, back to Me where it belongs—safe and sound in my arms of protection.”
Be excited, family of God, for what the Lord is about to do in you and in your life! Lift up your head, my brother and sister! Receive the good news of the Father, and anticipate excitedly: expect the unexpected! This is the day that the Lord has made, so rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm 118:24).
Father, thank You for stirring us up! Thank you for being such a merciful God, such a good God, that You do not treat us as our sins deserve, or repay us according to our iniquities; but you treat us according to Who You are and Your great love toward us (Psalm 103:10, Romans 5:8). Most Gracious Father, impregnate our spirits with Your sense of excitement and expectancy of Your great things to come! In Jesus Name, we thank you that we walk every day, expecting and experiencing Your goodness. Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to develop an attitude of expectancy for God to do great things in you, through you, and in your life. Develop a grateful heart toward the Lord for how good, loving, kind, and merciful He is toward you! Walk daily in the goodness of the Father. And continue to fight the good fight of living a life where your Almighty Father shows Himself strong on your behalf every single day; for God, your Maker of all things new, has already given you the victory!
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
