“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
The definition of peace is calmness and tranquility. Calmness and tranquility are words that are not always associated with the world we live in. We live in a world where more often than not, instead of finding calmness and tranquility we find chaos and frustration. There never seems to be enough time in the day. There never seems to enough help. There never seems to be enough money. In short, we are never completely satisfied when we look to the world for an answer or help.
The world will never give us the answer and the world will never provide “enough” of what we need. Why? Because our answer is not found in the world; our peace is not found in the world or what it provides. Our answer and peace is found in Jesus, who will never fail to provide us with exactly “enough” of what we need when we need it. Ephesians 3:20 says, “ Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” God wants to bless us. He desires to provide for us and care for us. But in order for Him to do that we have to seek Him and allow Him to ignite the fire within us; not until we realize the power Christ can have within us can we experience His peace and abounding love.
I urge you to take time each day to allow God to provide you with "enough" of what you need. Seek Him and most importantly listen to Him so that you know that whatever He provides really is enough of exactly what you need.
