“Do not think that I [Jesus] have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”- Matthew 5:17
My brothers and sisters, Jesus became the requirement necessary to fulfill the law. Jesus, Who is the second Adam, came to fulfill what the first Adam failed to do. Not a single one of us can fulfill the requirement of God's Law; which is why, in God's amazing mercy and grace, He sent His Son to do just that for us!
Romans 3:23 testifies of our fallen nature, as it declares that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” and that “there is none righteous- not even one” (Romans 3:10). That is why the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is so important! It removes us from the condemnation of that which is impossible for us to do! When we try to gain favor with God through our own efforts, then we are calling Jesus a liar and rejecting the Lamb of God—the Savior of the World.
Rest in Jesus this and every day, family. Your Savior and Big Brother has already fulfilled the requirement for us, so we just need to receive His victory as our own by stepping into Him. “Take My [Jesus] yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” - Matthew 11:29.
God bless you, brothers and sisters in Jesus The Christ.
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
