The Dawgs jumped in front on a Cristian Roldan goal in the sixth minute only to see the Aztecs get an equalizer just three minutes later. Darwin Jones put the Huskies ahead 2-1 in the 26th minute and then scored the Huskies third goal eight minutes later, giving the Dawgs a 3-1 halftime lead.
The Aztecs pulled within one with a goal in the 76th minute. But the Huskies responded, with Roldan scoring his second goal of the game with an 18-yard strike that beat Aztec keeper Blake Hylen. Josh Heard added a fifth goal in the 86th minute, as the Huskies five goals matched their season-high from a 5-0 win over Florida Gulf Coast on September 20.
The Huskies moved to 10-0-3 and 3-0-1 in Pac-12 play. Washington hosts No. 5 UCLA on Monday.
