The new IMAX at the TL Chinese Theatre is presenting the iconic fantasy film starting September 20, 2013. Lest you forgot, or weren’t born yet, the magical MGM movie melts the hearts of viewers with timeless themes and memorable melodies. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the motion picture that stars the immortal Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Frank Morgan, Jack Haley and ‘lion man’ Bert Lahr.
The movie runs for nearly two hours and due to some scary scenes is rated PG, tickets cost $16.50 for the morning matinee (10:30) and $19 for the evening showings at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Children and senior prices are slightly lower.
Your LA Travel Diva Examiner, who hasn’t seen the movie for years (and never in Blu-ray 3-D), was been invited to a preview screening on Monday, September 16 and will report back with a full review.
