Several years ago, the prehistoric world of dinosaurs was brought to life by the movies of Jurassic Park. Our fascination with dinosaurs is carried through to Second Life, thanks to Nargus Lab Dinsoaur Park. Recently we paid a visit to Nargus Asturias, to see his dream of bringing dinsoaurs to life come true.
We were immediately amazed at the detail put into the design of the dino avatars. Prior to interviewing Nargus, we purchased one of his Anthro-Raptor avatars. The HUD that works the av is highly configurable, with the ability to change feather colors, eye color, even skin texture and claw color. This makes the combinations nearly endless.
Nargus modelled several of the different specis of dinosaur, each incredibly well detailed in design and motions. While nargus is not an actual RP sim, the park set up in the Nargus sim is itself a marvel of beauty and detail, allowing for many different scenarios.
Nargus says his dinosaur avatar sales are brisk, and allow him a profit over the expense of the sim and upkeep. We toured the sim and came upon the Nargus Laboratories, where the DNA is extracted and the dinosaurs are 'born.' It then became obvious that there is some kind of secret experimentation going on here, so we decided to conclude the interview and say our goodbyes.
