It was a cold and rainy night, but that didn’t stop New Yorkers and fellow fashion lovers from making their way over to the spectacular Ace Hotel for Target’s GO International Designer Collective Launch.
With popular designer names gracing the labels of the collection like Thakoon, Rodarte and Proenza Schouler, the affordable dresses are a wonderful way to feel like a million dollars while spending less than $50!
I am in love with all of the frilly, flirty and fun dresses which can be worn alone or accessorized to add a rocker edge. For instance, I am in love with the pairing of a soft floral dress with a dark leather jacket!
As if getting to shop for pretty, designer dresses (that are affordable) wasn’t enough – there to get the party in full swing were DJ Mia Moretti, Electronic Violinist Catlin Moe, and Santigold who all delivered high energy performances to a very exited crowd.
And Target didn’t stop there – with signature cocktails like a Minty St. Germain and orderves ranging from Blue Cheese and Steak Empanadas to Steak Tartare, there was plenty to feast on.
Celebrity fans of the fun and fabulous Target also came out to show their support. A-list guests included Chloe Sevigny, Lake Bell, Olivia Munn, Michelle Trachtenberg, June Ambrose, designer Anna Sui, fashion editor Nina Garcia, Richard Chai, and Liv Tyler.
This event was a celebration of the program’s five-year anniversary. The collective includes 34 dresses – each priced for less than $45 – from 17 past designers and offers Target’s guests a second chance to purchase some of the program’s most popular dresses.
GO International was introduced in 2006. The innovative program offers Target’s guests cutting-edge designer fashion at affordable prices for a limited-time only. The collective will be available at most Target stores and Target.com on March 13.
