Go green this Valentine's Day

It's that time of year again!

That's right, in a mere 10 days we'll all be telling our special someone how much they mean to us in our own unique way.  Short on ideas?  Truthfully, have you even thought about it?

Why not go green this Valentine's Day?

If you feel most comfortable taking a traditional approach, who doesn't like a massage or facial?  Complexions Spa on Wolf Rd., one of the nation's first energy-efficient spas, offers an organic "tropical fruit & flower" facial that sounds magnificent.  For a shared experience, they also offer a couples massage in their private couples suite.

If you tend to think outside the box, a great place to start for some fresh ideas is  Not only do they have the ever helpful "personality profiler" to tailor your search, they also have an enticing selection of eco-friendly gifts, with literally hundreds of options.

If your plans are keeping you in the Albany area, the historic Palace Theatre has a perfect date night event.  Comedy Battle of the Sexes is coming on Saturday, 2/13 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or the Palace box office. $25 in advance, $35 day of show.

Whatever you decide, try to keep it simple and green this Valentine's Day, and have fun!
