It is not news that exercise is good, in fact essential, to your physical health. There are studies that prove that exercise also helps with your mood.

One study shows that weeks of aerobic exercise for people who are anxious and who haven't exercised reduces anxiety.

Weeks of regular vigorous exercise done several times a week can reduce depression.

Exercise is associated with positive self-esteem, better sleep patterns, and helps with the ability to cope with stressful situations.

Another study showed that outside workouts such as bicycling, gardening, and fishing can boost your mood and self-esteem. Outdoor walks battle depression better than walking in a mall. You will also get the benefit of Vitamin D, and better brain functioning.
