On September 8, 2013, 'Get Fit Now! Fitness Studios' and 'Ooh Lala Soap Co.' held a networking event to empower female entrepreneurs. The key note speakers were Dr. Theresa Dixon and Pastor Diane Dominguez of Media Production. This was a business mixer with a powerful theme and message to women who are trying to take their business experience to the next level of success. The event was hosted by TV and radio personality, 'Mocha Chocolate' of Intellectual Radio. In collaboration with the Black Business Professionals Network, these women put on a powerful mixer to motivate, encourage, and provide helpful business tips to 'Women Who Work It'. Pastor Dominguez states: "You are not a failure if your business fails. It's just time to come up with other ideas." She told the audience to Go Get It. The participants were told that success must be spoken into existence and put out into the universe as if it is happening right now.
Both Dr. Dixon and Pastor Dominguez gave very sound advice and suggestions to let female entrepreneurs know that now is the time to get started; and to abandon excuses. The participants were reminded that anything is possible if you avoid negative feedback and negative self-talk. Examples were given regarding businesses that were started with $500 or less, and became million dollar industries. The moral to the story is to envision your future the way you want it to be and 'Go Get It.'
