CPD is the abbreviated designation for Chicago Park District. CPD golf courses number five: Columbus Park, Jackson Park, Marquette Park, Robert A. Black, South Shore and Sydney R. Marovitz. The private vehicle assumption is rental cars.

The quickest route from O’Hare to Columbus Park Golf Course (This course is at 5701 W. Jackson Boulevard.) begins at Interstate 190 east to Interstate 294 south. Going south on I-294, drivers should take the exit for Interstate 290 east to Chicago. (This would be exit 15A or 15B.) They should continue on eastbound I-290 until Austin Avenue (exit 23A), where they should exit. (They can get this exit ramp from the left lane.) At the ramp’s top, they should turn left, going north. At Jackson Boulevard, which is approximately ½ away, they should turn right going east. The entrance to Columbus Park Golf Course is on the right, approximately ½ mile down winding, Jackson Boulevard.

The quickest route to Jackson Park Golf Course (This course is at 6401 S. Richards Drive.) is from eastbound I-190 to I-90/I-94 eastbound toward Chicago. Drivers should follow this interstate into and past downtown Chicago to the Interstate 55, eastbound exit. Going east on I-55 for a very short distant, they should then turn south onto southbound South Lake Shore Drive. They should follow this route to 63rd Street and turn right going west. Following 63rd Street, they will see the golf course on the north side at the intersection of E. Hayes Drive and S. Richards Avenue.

For driving golfers going to Marquette Park Golf Course (This course is at 6700 S. Kedzie Avenue.), they should follow the aforementioned directions to Interstate 55, but take the westbound, I-55 ramp. They should continue on I-55 until Kedzie Avenue where they should exit and go south. Immediately after crossing 67th Street/Marquette Street, they will see the golf course’s entrance on their right.

For driving golfers going to Robert A. Black Golf Course (This course is at 2045 W. Pratt Boulevard.), they should follow I-190 east and I-90 east to the Harlem Avenue exit. They should turn north onto Harlem Avenue and continue until Touhy Avenue where they should turn right, going east. They should continue east on Touhy Avenue for approximately six miles until they reach Western Avenue. They should turn right on Western Avenue and go south about ¼ mile to Pratt Boulevard where they should turn left, going east. The course’s entrance is near the intersection of Pratt Boulevard and Ridge Avenue.

For golfers going to Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course (This course is at 3600 N. Recreation Drive.), they should follow I-190 east and I90/I-94 east to Belmont Avenue (exit 45C) where they go east. Following Belmont Avenue east to North Lake Shore Drive, they should turn left and go north. They should take the next exit which is Recreation Drive (3600 North). They will see signs pointing to the golf course.

To get to South Shore Golf Course, driving golfers should follow the directions to Jackson Park Golf Course, but instead of exiting from South Lake Shore Drive (US 41) at 63rd Street, they should continue. (Jeffery Boulevard merges into South Lake Shore Drive at 67th Street, but drivers should continue left onto South Lake Shore Drive.) At 71st Street they will have a sharp, left turn through the gate into South Shore Community Center to reach the golf course.
