More information has been made available about the upcoming – and highly anticipated – e4 Business Summit by the West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability. As previously reported, the free event will take place at Gallery 501, 501 Fern Street, West Palm Beach from 3:30-6 p.m., and promises to be well worth attending for local business owners, entrepreneurs and the general public alike.

For one thing, it will be the launch event for the City’s “Rethink Business” Green Business Challenge, where future green business leaders are invited to participate in the Challenge. Launched in 2014, the goal of the Challenge is to help make the local business community more sustainable, efficient and prosperous by supporting them with the right mix of resources and recognition to reduce their energy use, water use and waste.

The Challenge is a year-long competition that is free and open to all West Palm Beach businesses and organizations. Participants will have access to these green resources, Office of Sustainability workshops, and be able to earn points by completing activities to become recognized in three achievement categories. Those organizations that rank as the greenest will receive recognition via storefront labels, media spotlights, the Challenge’s website leader board, and be presented awards at the 2015 West Palm Beach Green Business Challenge Recognition Ceremony.

The e4 Business Summit will also provide you with the opportunity to learn about special incentives and rebates; network with other business owners, entrepreneurs and local industry leaders; and possibly be recruited as a contractor for the Pace Clean Energy Financing Program – or apply for financing for your own green project.

Keynote speakers at the e4 Business Summit will include West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio and Yalmaz Siddiqui, Office Depot’s Director of Environmental Streategy. There will be complimentary refreshments and free business energy/water kits. So don’t miss this opportunity to go green and improve your business’ bottom line.
