Go behind the scenes on the Busch Gardens Tampa Falcon's Fury construction site

You've probably noticed the Falcon's Fury drop tower rising up into the sky at Busch Gardens Tampa if you've been to the park lately. However, if you tried to get up close, your view was obstructed by construction walls.

Click the video accompanying this article to go behind those walls and see the construction site up close. You'll also hear lots of facts and details about the ride from Jeff Hornick, who led the tour and talked about this one-of-a-kind addition to the park.

Falcon's Fury is a drop tower with two twists. First, the 335 foot ride tilts you face forward before you plummet. Second, you never know exactly when you're going to fall because it's random. Sometimes it's immediate, and other times you'll be suspended for several gut-wrenching seconds before your body (and stomach) finally drops.

In the video, you'll see the seats that will be used for the new ride. You'll also get a close up look at the tower, which will be embedded with colorful lights that can change for different themes.

Falcon's Fury is part of the new Pantopia section that has taken over the former Timbuktu. To hear more about the new offerings in the area, jump to this article. To learn more about the rich theming, go to this article.
