We've all heard the expression "Spring forward, Fall back". This phrase serves as a reminder for us to prepare for the coming season by changing our clocks.
Other than the reference above, the word back often has a negative connotation. The phrases "You shouldn't go backwards" and "One step forward, two steps backwards", both indicate that we are headed in the wrong direction, if in fact, we go backwards.
But is going backwards always wrong? Are there times when we should go backwards? Yes, I believe there are.
When we drift away from the Lord or when we find ourselves in a place that we shouldn't be in, the best thing for us to do is to go backwards.
Today, if you find yourself in a place where you shouldn't be, whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual, go backwards. Do the things you used to do when you were in that good place.
