The Las Vegas franchise of GO airport shuttles has won a local "Green Award" for its use of alternative fuel and other eco friendly practices.
GO Showtime company has switched to bio diesel fuel for 36 of its 46 mini buses and converted another five to liquid propane. In addition, GO Showtime uses GPS technology for fuel-efficient routing to further reduce carbon emissions and promotes recycling in both its office and maintenance shop.
The GO Group, which claims to be the largest airport ground transportation company in the world, has switched to alternative fuels in other markets, too.
GO companies serving San Francisco International, Seattle-Tacoma International, Milwaukee's General Mitchell International, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Chicago's O'Hare International and Midway airports, Puerto Rico's Luis Munoz Marin International and all the southern California airports have converted all or part of their fleets to alternative fuels – either compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane.
Go airport shuttles, whose formal corporate name is The GO Group, LLC, transports some 13 million passengers to and from some 68 airports in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe annually. Travelers can book ground through the GO website,
Since the corporate color of GO airport shuttles is green, it makes sense that the vehicles also drive green.
