Corvette lovers will have yet another reason to rejoice. General Motors is confirming that a new Z06 is in development and will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, in January of 2014.
Just last January, the all-new Corvette Stingray, was the star of the 2013 NAIAS, in Detroit.
General Motors is releasing few details about the new Corvette. It released a picture of the car's side panel. GM is promising that the new vehicle "will be the most track-capable Corvette ever, designed to deliver supercar levels of performance through unique powertrain, chassis and aerodynamic features."
In a statement, Alan Batey, a senior vice president of Global Chevrolet, says "Chevrolet is America's favorite performance car brand, and for 2014 we are going to offer enthusiasts more choices than ever before."
The 2015 Corvette Z06 will join the performance line-up that includes the Corvette Stingray, Camaro Z/28 and SS sedan.
