According to a report published by Yahoo! News on October 9, General Motors has issued a recall for over 21,000 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pickup trucks due a safety concern with the seats.
Yahoo! News reports that GM issued a recall because reclining seat backs used in these models could move more than safety regulations allow if the vehicle is involved in an accident. The concern is that the seats aren't as safe as they should be. Reports indicate that GM hasn't received any injury reports due to this possible seat issue.
Owners of the affected vehicles can take them to any GM dealer to have the seats inspected and repaired if necessary.
Reports indicate that there are a total of 21,721 trucks being recalled, and 18,972 of those are in the United States.
