With Thanksgiving a few days away, there are many blogs, websites, and restaurants providing how-to’s for a gluten-free Thanksgiving!
Local restaurants such as PF Changs are offering 10% off if you get take out on Wednesday the 24th, by ordering online and ender the code: orderout. Café Formaggio is offering 15% off check if you dine there for lunch on Black Friday (must be on their email list to receive email coupon).
Bare Naked Bakery in Bellmore is doing special orders for pies: apple and pumpkin, along with other Thanksgiving items such as GF stuffing, gravy, loaded mashed potatoes, breadcrumbs, croutons, soups (lentil, and organic tomato bisque), breads (cornbread, pumpkin, cinnamon raisin, mock “rye”, and white), and muffins (pumpkin, corn, and apple cinnamon).
BabyCakesNYC has a Thanksgiving menu, including gluten-free cake balls (pumpkin spice, lemon coconut, cinnamon sugar or chocolate), gluten-free apple cobbler, chocolate crumb cake, various GF cupcakes, including pumpkin, gluten-free breads: pumpkin, banana, or cornbread, and all sorts of other delicious sounding treats! (Just be aware when ordering that not all of the items in BabycakesNYC are gluten-free)
On my GlutenFreeLI.com blog you'll find “My GF Thanksgiving” with my favorite gluten-free recipes, including a super-easy GF stuffing, GF quiche, and step-by-step directions for a GF chocolate trifle that is so delicious nobody will even know it’s gluten-free (nobody at my work did for 2 years in a row now!)
